At Garage Aquatics, we prioritize the health and well-being of our fish during transit. Here's what you need to know about our shipping process:

Shipping Method

• Overnight Shipping: To ensure the live arrival of fish, we recommend overnight shipping. Please note that "overnight shipping" starts when we take the package to the shipping facility, not necessarily from the moment of your order placement. This applies to all other shipping rates, processing time and transit time are separate.
• Two Day Shipping: It is our more affordable option and industry standard but we will still recommend overnight to lower the stress on the fish. 
  
• (MUST READ)LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE: IS ONLY APPLICABLE FOR OVERNIGHT AND TWO DAY SHIPPING. ANYTHING LOWER (UPS GROUND & USPS GROUND/PRIORITY MAIL) WILL NOT BE OFFERED LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE.

Shipping Rates

• Calculated at Checkout: Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and the order details, after all discounts have been applied.
• Free Shipping: Free shipping only qualifies for 2 day shipping because of operations costs. If you like to opt in for overnight shipping you would need to pay for it.

Shipping Coverage

• United States Only: We ship to all locations within the U.S.

• Shipping Live Fish to Hawaii

  To ship live fish to Hawaii, an import permit is required by the Hawaii Department of Agriculture Plant Quarantine Office.

  Steps to Obtain and Submit Your Import Permit

  1. Apply for an Import Permit:
     Obtain the import permit (Form PQ-7) from any Hawaii Department of Agriculture Plant Quarantine Office or download the fillable PDF form here.

  2. Submit Your Completed Permit:
     Once you have completed the form and received approval, email a scanned PDF or a clear photo of the permit to garageaquatics@outlook.com.

  3. Important Information:

     • There is a fee associated with obtaining the import permit.

  Avoid Delays:

  To ensure timely processing, please submit your approved import permit before placing an order. Orders without a valid permit may be delayed or canceled.

Shipping Schedule

• Monday through Wednesday: We ship orders from Monday through Wednesday to ensure timely delivery and avoid weekend delays.
• Holidays: Our shipping schedule changes due to holidays and will take longer to ship out. You will always have updates on your order and when they will be shipped out. Holiday shipping announcements are usually posted on homepage.

Refund Policy

• Non-Refundable Shipping: Shipping costs are non-refundable under any circumstances.
• Refunds are given as store credit only

OUR CHOICE FISH

• We offer lower prices for direct from farm/OUR CHOICE offerings than our what you see is what you get. This is because we have to import by order and allows us to lower overhead costs and we pass these savings to you by lowering prices. Please allow 2-5 weeks to import and quarantine your fish before being shipped to you. 

DISCLAIMER: It is your job to research and know your local laws regarding fish or plants. If there is issues with your local customs we do not take responsibility and no refunds will be issued.

Lost or Delivered but Not Received Packages:

If your package is marked as delivered but you have not received it, please contact the shipping carrier’s customer support or your local carrier manager within 1-2 days. They are best equipped to locate your package since they know your area. 

Garage Aquatics cannot be held responsible for packages once delivery is confirmed. However, we understand this is a frustrating situation for both parties. While we are not directly involved in locating packages, please inform us, and we will consider a fair solution to share the loss.

Incidents like this are rare, especially with premium services like UPS Next Day Air or FedEx Overnight, which offer extra reliability.
