With our "What You See is What You Get" collection, you can view the exact fish you'll be receiving. Each fish is photographed individually, so you know exactly what you're purchasing before it arrives at your door.
Do you offer a live arrival guarantee?
Yes! We offer a 100% live arrival guarantee. Our fish are shipped directly from our collections with care, and we stand behind their quality. If your fish arrive in poor condition, please contact us within 24 hours with a photo, and weβll provide a replacement or refund, as per our terms and conditions.
What is the Direct from Farm collection?
The Direct from Farm collection is our preorder system where you can select fish directly from our farm in Thailand. Because we carefully source each fish, this process takes a little longerβapproximately 2 weeks for the fish to arrive from Thailand and another week for quarantine before being shipped to you. This ensures that your fish are healthy and acclimated before they reach your aquarium.
How do I care for my new fish once they arrive?
When your fish arrive, itβs important to acclimate them gradually to your tankβs water temperature. Ensure your aquarium is fully cycled and that water parameters (temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels) are stable. If you need any tips on setting up your tank or caring for your fish, feel free to reach out!

What to feed fancy goldfish βGoldfish are big eaters, so clean water matters as much as food.
Your care routine
DailySinking pellets, 2β3 small meals. Soak dry food for a minute first. Only what they finish in a couple of minutes.
WeeklyTreats. Blanched peas help digestion.
As neededRinse the filter in old tank water. Never rinse sponges or media in tap water. It kills the good bacteria.

When your box arrives
Read our Live Arrival Guarantee βFrom our goldfish acclimation guide. Have the tank cycled, warm and salted before delivery.
- 01Check the bags firstIf a fish has passed, take a clear photo and video of it in the sealed, unopened bag.
- 02Report within 6 hoursEmail info@garageaquatics.com within 6 hours of the delivery time in tracking. Subject: "DOA Order #" plus your order number.
- 03Float the bagLights off. Float the sealed bag 15β25 minutes until it is within 3Β°F of the tank.
- 04Add tank waterAdd a cup of tank water every 5 minutes until the bag is nearly full, then net the fish in.
- 05Rest and fastLights off for 12β24 hours and no food for 48 hours. Quarantine new fish at least 7 days before adding them to an established tank.
Hiding is normal. New goldfish may sit low or skip food for 1 to 3 days. If something seems off, email us within 3 days with a video and your water test results.

Why keep goldfish at 78β80Β°F?
Our fancy goldfish are bred in Thailand and raised warm. We keep them at 78β80Β°F and most homes need a heater to match.
Do you really use salt all the time?
Yes. We keep our fancy goldfish at 3000 ppm long term. Don't use salt in tanks with live plants, shrimp or snails.Read more β
How big of a tank do I need?
20 gallons for the first fish and 10β15 more for each one after. Orandas get the biggest.
When can I feed after delivery?
Wait 48 hours. Then start with small meals of soaked sinking pellets.
Why is my goldfish floating?
