Angelfish Group Care Tips
- Use a tall tank of 55 gallons or more for a group of 5.
- Keep the water at 76 to 82ยฐF with pH 6.5 to 7.5.
- Do regular partial water changes and keep the water stable.
- Feed quality flakes or small pellets plus frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp and mysis.
- Good tank mates: corydoras, rainbowfish, larger tetras and peaceful gouramis. Avoid fin nippers.

Can different angelfish colors live together?
Yes. All three are the same species, so they school and grow together just like a single-color group.
Why buy a group of 5?
Young angelfish do best in groups of 5 or more. A bigger group spreads out any chasing, so no single fish gets picked on.
Will my fish look like the photos?
Each fish is unique. Color and pattern vary, and the blue shimmer develops more as the fish grow and settle in.
When will my fish ship?
Your fish ships between your order date and the estimated delivery date shown at checkout. If we need more time, we email you the reason.

With our "What You See is What You Get" collection, you can view the exact fish you'll be receiving. Each fish is photographed individually, so you know exactly what you're purchasing before it arrives at your door.
Do you offer a live arrival guarantee?
Yes! We offer a 100% live arrival guarantee. Our fish are shipped directly from our collections with care, and we stand behind their quality. If your fish arrive in poor condition, please contact us within 24 hours with a photo, and weโll provide a replacement or refund, as per our terms and conditions.
What is the Direct from Farm collection?
The Direct from Farm collection is our preorder system where you can select fish directly from our farm in Thailand. Because we carefully source each fish, this process takes a little longerโapproximately 2 weeks for the fish to arrive from Thailand and another week for quarantine before being shipped to you. This ensures that your fish are healthy and acclimated before they reach your aquarium.
How do I care for my new fish once they arrive?
When your fish arrive, itโs important to acclimate them gradually to your tankโs water temperature. Ensure your aquarium is fully cycled and that water parameters (temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels) are stable. When your box arrives
Read our Live Arrival Guarantee โHave your tank cycled and running before the box shows up. This is the method from our acclimation guide.
- 01Check the bags firstLook at each bag before you open anything. If a fish has passed, take a clear photo and video of it in the sealed, unopened bag.
- 02Report within 6 hoursEmail info@garageaquatics.com within 6 hours of the delivery time in tracking. Use the subject "DOA Order #" plus your order number.
- 03Float the bagTurn off the tank light. Float the sealed bag for 15 to 25 minutes until the bag and tank are within 3ยฐF.
- 04Add tank water slowlyOpen the bag and add about a cup of tank water every 5 minutes until the bag is nearly full.
- 05Net them inNet the fish into your tank and throw out the bag water. Keep the lights off for 12 to 24 hours.
Hiding is normal. Fish often hide, clamp fins, lose some color or skip food for the first 1 to 3 days. If something seems off, email us within 3 days with a video, your tank size and temperature, and ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH readings.

My Red Devil arrived pale. Is that normal?
Yes. Stress from shipping fades color. Clean water and color food bring it back.
